Flame arrestor on blow down line

Flame arrestor on blow down line

Flame arrestor on blow down line

(OP)
Hi, I have to install a flame arrestor on a blowdown line: someone knows if there is an API statement or another technical reference that prevent it? It depends only on pressure drop evaluation?

Thank you.

RE: Flame arrestor on blow down line

I know of at leat one safety issue to consider: What will happen if the flame arrestor clogs up (unused for a long time debri or maybe a nest for some animal (bir or rodent) could block the pipe)?

Best regards

Morten
