Self-priming pump

Self-priming pump

(OP)
Hello all!
Has anyone expriences of APV Ws+ self-priming pumps? It seems to be too good to true in my case. We need a pump which can pump pigment slurries (clay, chalk, talk) and the problem is air. Screw pump is a good alternative, but dry running is problem with it. At a moment we have hose pump, but the hose does not last so long, the worst case was 80 hrs. Our capacity is 30 m3/h.

RE: Self-priming pump

Karlando, I was going to suggest a progressing cavity pump like the Moyno until you said that you have problems with dry running the pump. With this little curve thrown in, I would suggest an AODD (Air operated Dbl. Diaph.) pump.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, saxon
We have also tried AODD, but the valves get jam all the time and I was quite frustrated kicking them to start again!!

RE: Self-priming pump

I resently bought a progressive cavity pump from seepex. They offered good service and a good price.

A progressive cavity pump also seems applicable to your needs.

Look at www.seepex.com

Best regards

Morten

PS: Im not connected to seepex in any way expect as a customer
