What should be the oil content of treated water from an oil sepeartion plant in a tank farm area?

RE: oil content of treated water from oil separation plant

masihal, It depends on the type of process unit installed.
I've seen end of pipe requirements running from 250 ppm max. fats/oils/grease to sanitary sewers to less than 3 ppm FOG to surface waters.

Hope this helps.
