I'm currently with the solving of some very complex integral using the Mathcad. This opens in as the significantly simple expression. As I can see from the previous thread there is no way to see the intermediate steps?! Maybe there are the other programs (but MathCad), which allow it?

You might try Mathmatica or Maple

Another approach that I didn't mention in the other thread is that you can type out each intermediate step for yourself.  Show all the trig substitutions and subsequent antidifferentiation and whatnot using the

<ctrl>= instead of the :=
