Buckling effect in pipeline

Buckling effect in pipeline

Buckling effect in pipeline

(OP)

Respected Yogibear1,

Thank you for your kind reply. In your reply you have stated that “Vectors and opposing thrust forces that can separate the joint “. Can you explain what do you mean by joint in this context? Is there any effective change in buckling when I use 30 deg 18D bend (bend radius R=3024mm) in place of 45 deg 5D bends (bend radius R=840mm) where D=OD of the pipeline. Whenever pipeline crosses road /track the
Culverts are used. There is a buckling effect of the pipeline where it enters the culvert.
The same effect is also visible when the pipe comes out of the culvert. Kindly explain
how to restrain this buckling effect.

Regards
Pad75
