Table Column Width

Table Column Width

Table Column Width

(OP)
We have a table that we created that when placed in a drawing of a generic part will show the descriptions and dimensions of the instances in the family table so you can create a tabulated drawing. We haven't had this problem for a long time so I forget how to fix it. The description of instances is longer than the column is wide. How do you get the column width to default to a width just longer than the longest description?

RE: Table Column Width

Hello,

Try this.

In drawing mode Select 'Advanced' then 'Draw Set up'.

In here somewhere should be an option of '2d_region_columns_fit_text'.
(If your SORT ib 'By Category' this should be in 'These options control tables, repeat regions and BOM Ballons'.

Change this to 'YES' and apply.

You will need to 'Update Tables' as well.

Hope this is helpful.

maybe only a drafter
but the best user at this company!

onlyadrafter,

Thanks, that's the ticket. I've been away from Pro for a while and couldn't remember how to do that.
