RE: inserting a block - with pull dn menu

Here is how I do it with a slide menu

***IMAGE_FASTENERS
**SHCS
[FASTENERS Created By George Bednar]
[250-20,1/4"-20 X 2"]-INSERT;*250-20X2SHCS;\;;
[250-28,1/4"-28 X 2"]-INSERT;*250-28X2SHCS;\;;
[312-18,5/16"-18 X 2"]-INSERT;*312-18X2SHCS;\;;

I have the drawings located in the same directory as the .mnu file (c:Program Files\acadm2000\support)

RE: inserting a block - with pull dn menu

I am trying to do the exact same thing but my drawings are located on a server. I have also just upgraded to 2004 and would like to know if there is another way to do this?

RE: inserting a block - with pull dn menu

It doesn't matter if it's on the server or your hard-drive as long as ACAD knows where to search for it.  Add the location of the blocks to the ACAD search path:
Tools > Options > Files tab > Support Path Search Path (add > browse)

RE: inserting a block - with pull dn menu

After version 14 you have to have a dash (-) before the insert command for it to work. Open your .mns file and use "replace" command to change insert to -insert. This worked well for me.
