Font size of BOM column header

Font size of BOM column header

(OP)
I can't seem to get Solidworks to accept different font size for the column headers in the BOM.  In Excel I can set font size in the headers to 6 and the body to 10, but SolidWorks reverts them all to 6 when inserted, and trashes some of the justifications as well.  Any thoughts?

RE: Font size of BOM column header

I can only echo your pain and return it fivefold.  It would be really nice to see more carryover from Excel into the BOM.

Case in point: yesterday's thread about adding blank space to the BOM.  It would have been nice to be able to arry over Excel cell borders.

I would also like to see the ability to use a different font for headers, and have cell formats carry over.

Good and evil: wrap them up and disguise it as people.

RE: Font size of BOM column header

There is nothing you can for this sdb999 - you can adjust everytime they are inserted into a drawing, but if you have Auto update of the BOM on...then those changes will be wiped out each time.

A lot of these Excel BOM problems are going to go away in SW04. But I wonder how many new problems are going to arise?

I finally got this to work.  I had to ignore "description" as supplied by S/W and reference my own Cust. Prop. "DESCRIPTION" in the Excel Insert/Name/Define saga.  Must have been some sort of conflict, go figure.
