re-magnetising permanent magnet alternator
re-magnetising permanent magnet alternator
(OP)
I need to re-magnetise a small turbo-alternator(steam).
Unit output is 600W 32VAC. Machine is brushless, 2 pole permanent magnet with claw rotor. Rotor has been removed, and as such machine requires re-magnetising.
Presumably this can be achieved via electromagnet, but need to have some idea of flux densities required, orientation of electromagnet etc..
cheers

RE: re-magnetising permanent magnet alternator
Re-magnetizing requires expensive setup and equipment.
Good for many units.......expensive for single unit.
Recommend buying new alternator.

You may know that already, but I mention it just in case.
