(OP)
I have a one-story building that is 212 ft long and 66 feet wide.  The trusses span 66 feet and the diaphragm is discontinuous across the ridge due to ventilation.  Since the roof pitch is 8:12, is there something special that is required across the ridge in order to maintain continuity of the diaphragm.

Thanks in advance.

RE: I have a one-story building that is

In plane truss lateral loads will transfer into the truss.  Resisting lateral loads out of plane or perpendicular to the truss span will require some sort of drag strut or plate strap to transfer lateral loads to the other side, only if you need to get the load over there. This will not be requried if interior shear walls exist on either side of the ridge vents.

Check the APA web site.  The have a design guide for shear roof dia.
