Applying load steps in dynamic analysis
Applying load steps in dynamic analysis
(OP)
Hello,
I was conducting a transient modal superposition in the time domain.
I want to do the following.I want to apply a time varying force on the beam say F(t)=30 sin(60*t)
lets say I start applying the force at time, t=1
time step size =1 say
Hence there are 25 steps?
I want to apply this force..can anyone suggest how I go about writing this in the log file?

RE: Applying load steps in dynamic analysis
Your time step size should be able to capture highest frequency of interest.
Since your applying pure tone.
Calculate the frequency 2 pi f=60
Then time period = 1/f
Have 10 points per time period as step size.
Sorry,I couldn't help in log file.
