Disappearing dimensions

Disappearing dimensions

Disappearing dimensions

(OP)
I'm having a problem with disappearing dimensions on drawings in Wildfire.  I showed dimensions on views in two separate drawings and got the dimensions I wanted.  Then, later on, without doing anything other than dimensioning and adding notes that I can remember to those views or the drawing, most of the dimensions shown in those views disappeared.  Not all, but most.  Trying to show dimensions again doesn't bring them up.  I tried view>visibility>unhide all and that didn't do a thing.

The help talks about a clip_dimensions option in the config file, but that has to do with dimensions the cross the view boundary.  None of my dimensions cross the view boundary.

Has anyone experienced this problem?  I have the original build of Wildfire, and I'm going to get the newest build soon, but I need help now.

RE: Disappearing dimensions

I suspect that your problem is with your graphics.  Try saving your DRW and get completely out of Pro-E (Intralink also if you have it.) Then open it back up.  If your dimensions are now visible, it is your graphics card.  Look for updated drivers and try again.  Also, Do you have multiple windows open (including but not limited to Models, Assemblies, Office, Outlook, etc.)?  This too could cause the problem.

RE: Disappearing dimensions

if the dimensions are seen in a model window they sometimes disappear from a drw until the modeel window is closed.
