Does anyone know how link the name of a configuration to a field in the titleblock?

RE: Use configuration name as part number in titleblock

Use Custom Properties, under File/Properties.

For a helpful link try http://www.nhcad.com/html/cprops.asp

See AUTOMATIC RELOAD FOR THE SHEET FORMAT in this forum, there I have explain a way to use Custom Properties.

Hope that helps,

RE: Use configuration name as part number in titleblock

More specifically,
Create a template part and a template drawing so you can set file/properties.
Create a file property that you want to see, such as "configuration"
Edit the format and insert a note where you want the label to appear. Open the properties folder button and select the property you have created.

I have created formats for each plotter size and each customer as needed. I also create a template for each job for the parts and drawings. These templates have the properties already set to appear on the drawings and in the BOMs. This is a huge time saver.
