I know it's new, and just came out, but has anyone had the chance to use the new SpaceNavigator from 3Dconnexion?

It's basically a 3d motion controller that tied into a keyboard.  They go for about $299USD.

I still think I would prefer to spen my money on the Inspector Dimentor.

Have you read FAQ731-376 to make the best use of Eng-Tips Forums?

RE: SpaceNavigtor & SW

If it were MY money -not the boss's - I would definately get one-o-them used SpaceBalls off Ebay. If I'm spending the boss's money, than I'm asking for which-ever's most $$$ and then barganing down to something less $$$ but still useable.
But, here's a consideration...
What will you do when your keyboard croaks - as most do?
For that reason alone, I don't think I like the idea of a keyboard/spaceball love-child.
Just a thought.
