solubility of CaSO4 as a function of pH

(OP)
Hello dear group members,

I am interested whether the solubiltity of CaSO4 depends on the pH? I have been able to find the solubility product for CaSO4 but did not manage to find anything on the solubility of CaSO4 as a function of pH.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

RE: solubility of CaSO4 as a function of pH

Get your hands on Lange's Handbook of Chemistry (15th Edition).  Do a Google Search to locate sources and information.  The answer to your question is - Yes the solubility of CaSO4 is pH dependent.

You can also go to http://www.roanind.com/RapDetofCalSulf.htm for info on your question.  Or do a Google Search for "Calcium Sulfate solubility".
