Connecting multiple DH+

Connecting multiple DH+

Connecting multiple DH+

(OP)
I have 5 / PLC5 approx 400ft from control-room where there is a single SLC.  I want to add an HMI (1784-PKTX).  Can all the DH+ be connected in the control-room in a "star" configuration without significant loss of data speed?  Thanks

RE: Connecting multiple DH+

Please refer to Allen Bradley manuals, concerning how to make your connections for DH+. Unless it has changed, I understood it as having to daisy-chain, from one device to the other. So, from the PKTX to the SLC or the first PLC5, then the next and so forth. At one of our mainline stations, where we have three pipelines systems, I have three PLC5, 1784-KE(connected to a radio, for communications to a Micrologix 1000), and a KTX(D). The KTX(D) allows PLC programming and communications for the HMI.
