Hi Everyone,

If vessel clips are welded to the reactor that requires PWHT.  Do we have to PWHT the entire reactor or just localized area?.  What section of ASME section VIII Div. 1 specify the requirements for this particular case.

Don't know the code section, but you shold be able to do a local PWHT-unless the vessel is 304 SS, etc.  You might also be able to do a "temper bead" weld.
