(OP)
Does anybody know an analytical method of calculating the stresses in a double-D (or single-D) hub when transferring torque from its mating shaft?

RE: Stress Calculation for Double-D Hub
The flats can be defined by 45 deg intercepts; the subtended angle between the corners of the flat is 90 deg. I have used this in plastic shafts, steel shafts driving PM gears, zinc shafts, etc.

Thanks for your response. How about the stresses in the hub? I am actually analyzing a plastic hub on a steel shaft.
