In my company we have started whith a manintenece plan on compresors gas. We are looking for a norm ( ISO , VDI , etc )about vibration in that kind of equipment.

Thanks

LUIS

RE: vibration

VDI 2063 covers part of what you may be looking for.

RE: vibration

The norms use to be general for all kinds of machinery but, it could be useful to check the next norms as well as the VDI:

ISO 10816
API-617 Centrifugal compressors
API-618 Reciprocating compressors

You can find out more informations from the manufacturer, it is very common to find admissible vibration levels in the technical manuals of the machine. If there aren't specified, you can ask for them and the compressor manufacturer must give you an idea.

Regards
Marc
