IGES Into Solid Part

IGES Into Solid Part

IGES Into Solid Part

(OP)
How do I turn an IGES file into an MDT solid part.

I can import an IGES file, but it isn't recognised as a part.

RE: IGES Into Solid Part

Try Insert->stitch surfaces way. It helps in most cases, not in all though.

RE: IGES Into Solid Part

This is the basic disadvantage of IGES export format... You can always not get a solid part.... In some cases it does give you a solid output... but generally it exports it as surfaces.... and sometimes it even exports it as UNTRIMMED surfaces....

RE: IGES Into Solid Part

on the pull down menu,......... part, part, convert solid.

Some time you have to stitch surfaces,....surface,surface stitch , then convert it
