Fluorpolymer Heat Exchanger

Fluorpolymer Heat Exchanger

(OP)
Hello Fellows,

Could anyone give information about heat exchanger made with fluorpolymer (tubes and shell)?

Thanks

RE: Fluorpolymer Heat Exchanger

You can get small sizes from George Fischer.  For larger sizes and/or high pressures, I think you are limited to metal coated with fluoropolymer on the corrosive fluid side.

"George Fischer, Inc. has introduced the CALORPLAST Compact Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger featuring corrosion resistant material in a compact, lightweight shell. Offered in sizes from two through six inches in diameter for maximum space-saving efficiency, the new heat exchanger is ideally suited for cooling, heating, condensing or evaporating both corrosive and high-purity media....

Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF), Perfluoroalkoxy (PFA)... materials are rated for 280°F"
