usb to serial hub device for high temp application

(OP)
I'm currently using a rocketport usb2serial 4-port hub. it is only rated for 40C. My application will be in the desert and direct sunlight where it may get as high as 50 or 60 degrees C.

Does anyone know of a usb 2 serial hub that can handle such temps, or a chip that can be designed for such application

RE: usb to serial hub device for high temp application

Could you build a cooler around the hub?

Look into B&B Electronics, www.bb-elec.com. They manufacture many serial and ethernet devices for the industrial user, many having extreme temperture ranges.

I think you will find something there, but if not they will point you in the right direction.

Best of luck.

B&B would probably be a good place to start.  I would also try Hirschmann.  They make industrial temp hubs and switches.
