Auger Electron Spectroscopy(AES) Operational Procedures?

Auger Electron Spectroscopy(AES) Operational Procedures?

Hi!
Can anyone provide me with the operational procedures for the Auger Electron Spectroscopy(AES)?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in  advance.

Cordially yours,
Michael

RE: Auger Electron Spectroscopy(AES) Operational Procedures?

I am unclear about what information you require.  Do you want a description of the fundamentals of AES (electron beam source, emission of Auger electrons from sample, electron detectors, etc.)?  Or do you want information about the machine settings & other paramters (accelerating voltage, probe current, specimen tilt, specimen preparation, etc.) on how to most effectively use AES?  By the way, others will likely benefit from any technical information that is contributed to this thread, so just keep the email notification function intact, and you will receive an email of any new posts while the rest of us log-in to eng-tips to read the updates.
