Excel spreadsheet for electrical calculations?

Excel spreadsheet for electrical calculations?

Excel spreadsheet for electrical calculations?

(OP)
Hi to all

Does anybody knows were I can look for any spreadsheet for electrical calculations ( conductors sizing, raceways, etc. ).
Thanks a lot in advance.

RE: Excel spreadsheet for electrical calculations?

i do not know where you can obtain such a file!

perhaps the best action you can take is develop one that is user-friendly and simple to use.  it sounds like you know the imput variables and needed results, so get with a skilled engr/xl user and develop one!  it's only a little work + you reap the rewards or satisfaction knowing that you created something of good use!
good luck!

RE: Excel spreadsheet for electrical calculations?

You can get a handy little calculator called E.F.U.S at this web site:

http://softcalcdesigns.com/

When I bought it I think it was only fifty dollars.  Probably not much more now.  Many more sophisticated programs exist including ones in which you can input the basic electrical data for a system and it will do voltage drop, short-circuit and load calculations.  They wll do wire sizing too.  One drawback is that they are usually very expensive.  Many engineers, including me, develop their own spreadsheets  I have a panelboard schedule load sheet that adds and categorizes loads.   Just do a Google Search for Electrical Engineering Software and you can probably find a lot of things.
