Welded Hot Tap of Natural Gas Piping

Welded Hot Tap of Natural Gas Piping

Welded Hot Tap of Natural Gas Piping

(OP)
Does anyone have experience or information on hot-tapping of natural gas piping?  I'm specifically looking at an application that involves installing a welded branch connection (ie, welding on the pressurized gas pipe, then hole-sawing through an open ball valve).

RE: Welded Hot Tap of Natural Gas Piping

while i have not personnally accomplished a hot tap installation, they are frequently accomplished on many various fluid systems (gas, water ,steam, etc.) throughout the world.
it is important to have qualified individuals conducting the work using proper equipment to ensure safety practices and procedures are adhered to.
try investigating the following website for further information:

good luck!
