Waterjet throw calculation or estimation

Waterjet throw calculation or estimation

Waterjet throw calculation or estimation

(OP)
Hi!
I need to calculate or estimate the waterjet throw length from the fire hose nozzle. Known data, pressure, flow, nozzle diameter and the fluid is seawater.

Any empirical results or formulae would be much appreciated, or any related link.

Thanks in advance

RE: Waterjet throw calculation or estimation

It may be found in the Water Jet Technology Association publication entitled Recommended Practices for The Use of Manually Operated High Pressure Water Jetting Equipment, 3rd Edition, 1994. http://www.wjta.org/.
