Typical pressure loss values for a fire main pipeline

Typical pressure loss values for a fire main pipeline

(OP)
HI!
I need to estimate pressure loss in a fire main, sea water pipeline on board a 38m yacht. Pipeline is 2" diam, steel seamless pipe, 4mm thick. Typical fittings: 90ยบ elbows, screw down non return globe valves.
Any typical pressure loss values or related links would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Bill

RE: Typical pressure loss values for a fire main pipeline

bill,
for free pressure drop software you could try www.pressure-drop.com
otherwise Technical Paper #410 (from Crane Valves) is excellent for pressure drop estimation
there are also plenty of free spreadsheets out there
