INTERNAL ERROR when printing after color change

INTERNAL ERROR when printing after color change

INTERNAL ERROR when printing after color change

(OP)
When I select multiple entities of different colors and then change their color to white, I receive the following error: INTERNAL ERROR: !dbobji.cpp@5008: Unknown error 253

I then get booted out of AutoCAD R14. AutoCAD's help refers to this when there are problems with reading an object in the drawing database. They also say after this error the drawing will usually be corrupt. They recommend the 'Recover' command. When I open this same file on someone else's machine this does not happen. When I select objects with colors other than white, I can make the change without error; however, as soon as I select and attempt to change an object that's already white I receive the error. Thanks for any insight into this other than reinstalling.

RE: INTERNAL ERROR when printing after color change

if this is drawing specific and you know someone who has autocad 2000 have them run recover on the drawing itself and save as R14 if you dont know anyone you are more than welcome to send it to me and i will do it for you
also you might try this use the wblock command and select only the items you can see (you may want to do a zoom extents or zoom all before hand)and save that out to a new drawing and continue working out from there

if you do need recovery on that drawing my email is
sherrin@shasta.com

Thanks, Shadow, for the timely response. I'm thinking this has to do with this particular installation, since it only happens from this workstation. I tried Recover in 2000 and saved as R14. I am going to reinstall R14. It had been working fine until R14 was reinstalled 2 weeks ago.
