Soil Disposal Guidelines/Site Development Guidelines
Soil Disposal Guidelines/Site Development Guidelines
(OP)
I'm from Ontario and we have guidelines for chemical concentrations (e.g., magnesium, chloride, etc.) for decommissioning sites and for site development - as to whether the site is within some prescribed limits. Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of these with me.
I was wondering if anyone had a copy of such and could forward me a scanned copy. I am overseas and someone is promoting to the nth degree the use of fly ash as a panacea of every problem. As is expected, fly ash has high concentrations of certain metals. I want to check to see if the percentages here are within guideline levels of other jurisdictions (e.g., Ontario, elsewhere). Any help would be appreciated - it is for personal curiosity.

RE: Soil Disposal Guidelines/Site Development Guidelines
I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for. Sounds like you're talking about some type of brown field acceptance criteria. All I have is a cite for the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for 'hazardous' materials concentrations. It's 40 CFR Ch.1, subsection 261.24(listing of some 'solid' wastes). The CFR URL is
http://www.access.gpo.gov/nara/cfr/index.html.
Title 40 is about the environment. Part 261 is the identification and listing of hazardous waste.
Hope this helps.
