SIgn Text Spacing

SIgn Text Spacing

(OP)
Hello All,

I am looking for some sort of Guideline/Procedure for Text Spacing on Overhead Signs.  I know that SignCAD does this, but recently I have had some signs to be looked at again because of spacing issues, issues that I thought SignCAD would fix, but like any other computer program, it has its drawbacks.  Any guidance would be apprciated.  Thanks.

RE: SIgn Text Spacing

the MUTCD should give guidance on what text size/spacing is appropriate.

RE: SIgn Text Spacing

In Canada, the TAC - Uniform Traffic Control Devices would be a good start.  Many competant sign manufacturors will also be able to provide you with some advice (such as Hi-signs and Alberta Traffic Supply).
