Shrinkwrap in Drawings
Shrinkwrap in Drawings
(OP)
To try and make some the largest assemblies managable I create simplified reps of external components and then create a surface subset (non-associative). This is great the model is very light and looks identical, only problem is it can only be displayed in purple wirwframe in the drawing, wich is not much use. Does anyone now if I am expecting too much or is there a cunning solution.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Select your drawing views and hit enter.
Select Qlt HLR and then DONE
RE: Shrinkwrap in Drawings
I tried the protrusion option but the shrinkwrap is of an assembly and fairly complex and hard to close.
The Qlt HLR option is blanked outin drawing mode.
I have come to the conclusion that because a surface shrinkwrap is made up of surfaces it can not be displayed in a drawing.
I have decided to use merged solid shrinkwraps instead, as they can be viewed in a drawing, unfortunatley they do not offer the reduced file size of surface shrinkwraps. But when have PTC ever made things easy!
RE: Shrinkwrap in Drawings
Hmmmm. I just made a drawing of a shrinkwrapped assembly and the Qlt HLR option worked for me.
RE: Shrinkwrap in Drawings
Select your drawing views and hit enter.
<<pick the hidden line display first then you can select the Qlt HLR (Can't leave as hidden default)>>
Select Qlt HLR and then DONE
