Easily removeable transparent plug for tube. (water resistant)

(OP)
Require easily removable transparent plug for tube. (water resistant)
Present design uses 4" diameter G10 tube. Tube is too thin to add threads.
Tried acrylic plug and AS568A-240 Buena O ring. (1/8" width, 70 durometer) With gland giving minimum compression of O ring, force to install and remove plug was excessive.
Waxed G10 tube, force was still excessive.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Different O ring material or durometer. (Source
for O ring would be appreciated)
   Tube material other than G10.
   Different design.

Thanks
