Insert Mode - 2000i¦

Any ideas on how I can fix this.
My current contract is using 2000i². I'm doing castings of water meter bodies......hence loads and loads of rounds.....hence slow regens.
I'm working in insert mode when modifing the 'important' features, but when I drag the insert here arrow in the model tree or redefine a feature, the model regenerates all the way through, thus wasting my clients precious time and money. I'm sure this didn't happen in 2001.

Any ideas on how I can prevent this happening?

Cheers

Hayden

The only way around this is probably to suppress all the features you can before doing any major modifications. This could well take as long as moving the insert arrow without suppressing though .

You can also make some features "read only" because they regenerate faster, an when you're done clean them up.

Hayden,

You might want to try the Regen Info tool which allows you to redefine features as you step through the model and you can jump to specific feature numbers. This might solve the regen problem but I'm not sure.

Give it a try if you haven't already, and let me know if it helps.
