CE Mark and ASME

(OP)
I have found British equivalent standards for CE Mark certification, but I am looking for equivalent ASME codes (if they can be used for the CE Mark?) for the low voltage, electromagnetic, and pressure equipment directives.

If anyone is familiar with the CE mark process, is it necessary (or easier), to show conformance to accepted codes rather than documenting how safety provisions of the directives have been met where standards aren't applied.

Thanks

RE: CE Mark and ASME

You can use ASME for the pressure equipment directive and if you are happy with it then I would urge you to do so.

Take a look at the CEN forum, there is a lot of discussion about this and some useful URLs in the FAQs.
