i've got a platino 9000l with a 4000 watt prc laser.
My question is every time i start a program my first piece is never good. ex: if the piece is a 2in by 2in square and has 2 holes well the first hole is never good on the first piece and then the rest of the sheet is good but if you have to do an on restart well the first hole it does is not good result you waste that piece.

RE: prima laser

This sounds like a gas purging problem, i get the same results when i switch gas, make sure you have no leaks in your lines, I tend to do a test piece first 50mm sq with a hole in the centre, just to make sure the head is purged.

You may want to create a Gas Purge (Flow) Program.  Most manufacturers today have this as a can-cycle feature.  In other words, it's part of the piercing routine.  Amada supplies the customer with a Gas Flow Program to purge the lines as well.

A one minute run will be more than sufficient.
