in an ac motor is it ok to substitute a bifilar winding with say 20 turns of 20 guage wire with winding 20 turns twice with one in hand.

i know they work for DC but for AC they were known to cause some spikes or something.
1) 20 turns of 20/20 guage wire ( 20/20 meaning bifilar or 2 wires in hand)
2) 20 turns of 20 guage wire wound twice ( not simultaenously so you wind one coil then wind the second then come back t o wind the first coil again)

i had heard there are some spikes ot something like that if the windings are not true bifilar
