Structural fatigue

Structural fatigue

Structural fatigue

(OP)
I am looking for information on the structural fatigue problems that occurred in the wings of Beechcraft early model 35's.  This would be especially in the 1947-1948 production years.  I have found many things about the tail failure problems, but very little about the wing failures.
I know that Beech offered to replace the wings for a short time due to the design weakness, but dropped the offer as it was cost prohibitive for them.  Any information will be greatly appreciated.

RE: Structural fatigue

Do you own an early Beech with some wing problems?

I have been doing some research on the Bonanzas for several years now.  I have been a pilot for over 40 years and have a special interest in the wing problems that Beech had in this model.  My dad, an uncle, and two other family friends were killed in a Bonanza due to wing failure. My dad, the pilot, was a former military flight instructor and airline pilot with nearly 30,000 hours flight time. ("Pilot error" wasn't a consideration.)
