Moisture Curing Room

Moisture Curing Room

Moisture Curing Room

(OP)
We hired a walk-in freezer company to install our room and an aqua-fog machine. We are using 2 water chillers, a water heater and a mixer valve to cool or heat the water before it reaches the fog machine.

This works about 9 months a year, but in the heat of the summer (espicially here in Texas) it will not cool the room below about 76 degrees F.

If anybody has a solution for this problem, please reply.

RE: Moisture Curing Room

what is the temperature of the incoming (city) water?

RE: Moisture Curing Room

(OP)
80 degrees F.

RE: Moisture Curing Room

two chiller units can't reduce the temp by 6 degrees F?  something is not right.  are they in series?  what volume of water are you using?  (rate of consumption)  are you using a mechanical fog machine to injecting the water directly into the air?

Sorry, lots of Q's.

RE: Moisture Curing Room

(OP)
1)Yes...the water temp is about 50F
2)Yes, they are in series
3)10 Gallons per hour
4)Yes

I think part of the problem is the quantity of high strength cylinders we cure.

I would really like to find another way to cool the room, other than with chilled water.

RE: Moisture Curing Room

What part of Texas are you in?

RE: Moisture Curing Room

Did you get the problem fixed?  I had the same problem at a previous site I worked at and the problem ended up being the water mix value.  The actuator unit ran out of mechanical stoke and was not able to ever totally stop all of the hot water flow and on hot days the room would run as high as 80.  After a few mechanical adjustments to the valve/actuator linkage it worked fine... just an idea!
