STEP import in NX

STEP import in NX

STEP import in NX

(OP)
We use UG mainly for importing PROE objects into it.
We use mainly STEP especially for assemblies.
This used to work fine in rev 18. Lately we have upgraded to NX and now we are getting double the parts. One set of the parts is in 0,0,0 position and another set in carline
position.
Does anyone know how to prevent this?

RE: STEP import in NX

I imported a STEP file created in Pro/E into NX and I only got the single set of components.

Are you creating your own STEP files?

Are the files actual Pro/E solid body parts or are they shrink-wrap copies?

Yes we are creating the STEP files ourselves as we used to do before NX. These are created from solid PROE parts forming a native PROE assy not in the default co-ordinate system but in carline position. We are using PROE 2001.
