-20mm Aggregate Slurry Pumping

Good Day All

It would be appreciated if you could provide any assistance or insight to my application problem.  I am attempting to convey a -20mm stone by means of a pumping system from the source to the process plant. The slurry will be pumped over a distance of about 1000m.  I have had a reputable company look at my application and provide a solution.  They have proposed running three pumps in series.  I would however appreciate any comments from people that have experienced similiar applications and could possible view their concerns or problems that they might foresee.

Your comments are all highly appreciated.

Thank You
Ken

RE: -20mm Aggregate Slurry Pumping

you will need tgo provide more info.  eg volume or tons per hour; solids content; elevation change; density; gradation and type of stone; process considerations; etc  was the reputable company a pump supplier or a consultant.?
i have seen numerous series pumping applications for slurry applications, and they work, but some better than others.
