Hello,
I need to measure 0-100C to an accuracy of 0.1C or better (4-20mA output) the electronics itself will be in 70C ambient. i want to use something like a PT100 and some sort of "hockey puck" style transmitter but I'm having trouble finding anything suitable. Anything that seems to be 0.1C accurate is bench type lab equipment. Anybody know of anything suitable?

Have several sensors all measuring the same process. Put them into an algorithm that can work out which readings are sensible and then average them. This will provide a more reliable measurement and provide a degree of fault tolerance.

I strongly suggest Rosemount (www.rosemount.com). Their specs are 0.12 deg C, and something like 68% of them are better. Then, they can provide a "matched" RTD for higher accuracy.

You can also get them with a digital output (HART protocol).

From their literature, they seem committed to accurate industrial temperature measurement.
