Modal analysis software

Modal analysis software

(OP)
Hi,

I'm looking for a good software package, suitable for modal analysis. We currently use Iotech wavebooks (8 ch) and PCB ICP sensors. Signal analysis is done with Dasylab.
Any advice?
thanks
Wim

RE: Modal analysis software

I use the extremely versatile LMS CADA-X. It only works with certain data acquisition systems though. Matlab has a data acquisition toolbox and a 3rd party modal analysis package is available (http://www.sdtools.com/). Never used it myself, but they always have a stand at modal analysis conferences.

RE: Modal analysis software

I use the latest software from m+p international, SmartOffice has a complete modal analysis module which has the benefit of working with loads of different data types.

Great flexibility, always done the job, we have an 8 channel portable acquisition system.

RE: Modal analysis software

We use software described below - Agilent is now the ex-HP company that has one of the best 2 or 4-channel FFT's on the market:
