Remote control of AVL Engine Dynamometer w/Controller

Remote control of AVL Engine Dynamometer w/Controller

(OP)
I am attempting to control an AVL engine dynamometer controller remotely.  Is anyone familiar with remote control of this equipment?  We are using an Alpha 160 (160 KW dynamometer) and the BME 300 controller with a LSE511 amplifier (all AVL List products).  The manuals specify how to operate manually but I need to automate a cycle of loads and speeds.  The manuals are quite vague on this.  Connections are defined but voltages etc. are not.  The device has Discrete Inputs (DI’s), Analog Inputs (AI’s) and Analog Outputs( AO’s) for remote control,  all of which are only vaguely described.  I can’t tell if AI’s are isolated (for reference variations), for example.  Where could I find such information when AVL, the mfg, is not helping much?
