Must-have utilities...
Must-have utilities...
(OP)
After having left ACAD at r. 14 and moved on to Solid Edge and then Inventor, I find myself newly back in the ACAD world.
In thinking through how to become more efficient in using ACAD I got to wondering what utilities, macros, etc people find to be "must-haves."
I've got a pretty short list:
1) Layer routines in the Bonus tools
2) A fastener routine like ddfast or something
3) Back in my R14 days we had a routine called "wrench" which created socket, box, and open wrenches - I don't have it and can't find it but I would have considered it "must-have" back in the day.

locks toolbars
widens and extends dropdowns for oject properties toolbar
(since acad 2002 is so small, this is handy)
toolbars activate immediately
auto-select current drawing in explorer file dialogs
remember "list state" in common file dialog
(sadly, not in win 2000)
use it everyday, should have been built into acad.
