Noise reduction in deisel generators

Noise reduction in deisel generators

Noise reduction in deisel generators

(OP)
Needed: Someone with experiance in  noise reduction in deisel generators.

A freind is currently suing the "new" casino due to the fact that they built there generator house without much concern for the neighbors. She is looking for an "Expert witness" to testify. She is willing to fly someone down here (St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands) and let thim stay in the apartment at her house. Free Vacation to the Caribbean.

These things really are loud from several hundred yards away, especially when the wind comes from the right direction.

RE: Noise reduction in deisel generators

who in their right mind wants to go to StX?

there are plenty of engineers on the island (and lawyers), and they are all familiar with the local reg's.

sounds like your best bet is political not legal. look at the bright side, the sound is probably killing the mosquitos...

RE: Noise reduction in deisel generators

Hi,
Technically you'll need at least a good exhaust muffler and a good soudproof box around the generator with a ventilation system with silencer on the air inlet and outlet.
