component array problem in assembly

component array problem in assembly

component array problem in assembly

(OP)
HI,

In my assembly I inserted an array of an existing component.
This particular component is now removed from the network.

When I open the assembly the warning is given that the part is not loaded, because it is no longer available. When I try to delete the parts in the assembly navigator it removes all occurences except for the 'master' component.

How can I get rid of this dirt in my assy?

Thanks, Martin

I forget to mention that I use Unigraphics 17

RE: component array problem in assembly

cannot remember if it is the same in V17 but select assemblies from top menu. then select edit component arrays then delete any arrays not required.
you should be able to delete the master in the ANT at this point.

hope you followed this

just shout if it did not fix your problem.

best regards........ gary

Hi gary,

The option of editing an array is only possible in the gateway mode, NOT in the modeling mode. This explains why I didn't find it myself in the first place.

This took me a while to find out. thanks!

Greets Martin.
