Self Cooling Building

(OP)
Here is one that will put us all out of a job.  Does anyone know of a company that designs self cooling buildings?  If not, have you ever heard of such a thing?

Thanks For your help,

Dave

RE: Self Cooling Building

A building equipped with a chiller plant usually cools itself pretty well... (never heard of it, sounds like a sales pitch for something)

RE: Self Cooling Building

There are certain aspects you can make in the layout/structure of the building to improve the thermal balance, we usually define this as "Passive Airconditioning". This means we do not need to actively put some air conditioner for airconditioning. These measures may include:
a) a very good U-factor
b) proper orientation of the building
c) use of water sprays and ponds near the building
d) manipulate the natural air flow around the building
e) good ventilation, etc

RE: Self Cooling Building

Igloos in hot climate will give more jobs to Civil Engineers. I gotta run and assist my colleague. lol
