Noise reduction between exhibition halls
Noise reduction between exhibition halls
(OP)
This is an exibition hall in a Convention Center. It has movable divider walls because it is used for smaller shows, also. Those walls doesn´t reach ceiling because the architectural design (There is 4 mts. between the wall top and the ceiling). Frequently there are problems when 2 shows are in adjacent halls.
I'd like to know the best way to solve this situation. Do you know some noise absorver device for that situation.
Thanks

RE: Noise reduction between exhibition halls
Anyway, without doing any measurements it is a bit hard to say, but roughly you need to (a) block all holes and then (b) increase the absorption of the room.
One way of doing that that might be acceptable is to hang semi porous panels from the roof.

You need to measure the reverbration time of such a
complex couple space

curtains are commonly used, but the best thing to do is to contact the design architect. There are a lot of arcane rules imposed on occupied spaces as a result of local fire codes.
