Adobe Acrobat

I know this is not exactly an engineering program (but it is used by lots of engineers).

Does anybody know why when I print to PDFWriter from Word my bullets get replaced by "??" I presume it means that it can't find the font but it's just plain old Arial.

Anybody know a solution???

RE: Adobe Acrobat

Have you tried to use Distiller instead?  I've had mixed results with Pdfwriter

RE: Adobe Acrobat

I've had mixed results with both!  Every time I generate a PDF file I immediately look at it to see that the bullets are intact and the titles don't look like Rusian text.  If they do, then I use the other program (which has always worked so far).  I have not yet run into a situation where both PDFWriter and PDFDistiller screwed the same file up.  I've never been able to determine a pattern that would help choose one over the other, to trial and error is my choice.

RE: Adobe Acrobat

I have not had any problems when printing using a programme called PDF995 ..... http://www.pdf995.com/

Its free but has internet pop ups when used, buying a license = no pop-ups

RE: Adobe Acrobat

Ditto. PDF995 rules.
