ASME B31.8. INTERPRETATION

Gents

As per ASME B 31.8, (841.11) the calculation of the nominal wall thickness (t) includes the manufacturer under thickness tolerances of a  pipe specification. Them as I needed to included the CA (corrosion allowance) value into my purchaser order, also it is necessarily included the manufacturing tolerance factor into the CA calculation?.

What is the minimum value considered as minimum pressure wall thickness?. I consider that it is the nominal wall thickness less the manufacturing tolerance value, is it right?

RE: ASME B31.8. INTERPRETATION

Whether the manufacturing tolerance should be deducted, depend on the base of your purchase order. For example, you can exclude it if you order is based on the minimum wall thickness.
